New York States Finger Lakes region is one of those rare destinations that has it all. Spectacular natural beauty, history, culture, fine dining and the most celebrated wineries on the east coast. And, not to mention, some of the best motorcycle roads imaginable.
The dramatic scenery comes courtesy of the last ice age, when 12,000 years ago, receding glaciers carved deep gorges into the landscape and left behind 11 “finger shaped” lakes in their wake.
These lakes from East to West are:
Otisco, Skaneateles, Owasco, Cayuga, Seneca, Keuka, Canandaigua, Honeoye, Canadice, Hemlock and Conesus.
